1/72 Hobbymaster (HA6518) Mikoyan MiG29 (9-13) Fulcrum-C (No.5 7) Winter Digital Camoflage Ukraine Air Force (Limited Edition)
The MiG-29 is a twin-engine supersonic fourth generation air superiority jet fighter developed in the Soviet Union in the 1970’s. The aircraft entered service with the Soviet Air Force in 1983 and still is in use with them as well as equipping over twenty four other countries over the yea rs. The NATO designation for the MiG-29 is Fulcrum and it was designed to counter the American F-16 and F-18. The MiG-29 was first seen in the West in 1986. The MiG-29 (9-13) is designated the Fulcrum C.
- MiG-29 (Product 9.13) 'Fulcrum-C'
- Update of the initial production version; entered service in 1986. NATO reporting name is "Fulcrum-C". Variant possessed an enlarged dorsal spine to accommodate a larger No.1 fuel tank and the installation of the L-203BE Gardenyia-1 jammer that was lacking on the initial 9.12 version. This enlarged spine earned the 9-13 version and its successors the nickname of "Fatback"
Any Ukrainian MiG-29 overhauled since 2012 has been given a digital camo paint scheme that makes each paint scheme unique, no two aircraft are painted the exact same. Prior to 2014 MiG-29 #57 had been painted in a white/yellow scheme but in December 2014 the aircraft was overhauled and received the new digital scheme. The paint scheme includes a huge Ukrainian national emblem Trizub (Trident) on top of its spine.
