The Saab 37 Viggen (English: Thunderbolt) was a Swedish single-seat, single-engine, short-medium range fighter and attack aircraft, manufactured between 1970 and 1990. Designed to meet a Swedish Air Force requirement for an high-performance integrated weapons system, the Saab JA37 Viggen was first flown on February 8th, 1967.
